Calling All K-12 Classrooms Ready to Take on an Investigative, Delicious and Creative STEAM Challenge
Register by December 3, 2023
What's awesome about where you live? What good and services, historical buildings, attractions, or other notable places do you find the most interesting in your community? Who are the people helping your community thrive? What careers are still needed in your community? We'd love to see those people and places in our STEM/STEAM gingerbread inspired engineering challenge.
THE CHALLENGE
1) To research the goods and services in your community
2) To learn more about the people who help your community thrive
3) OPTIONAL - Investigate what career fields are growing or have several vacancies in your community (great for secondary students)
4) Either physically or virtually design and construct your own collaborative diorama of your community.
5) Share your constructed community via social media using our #gingerbreadSTEM hashtag.
6) OPTIONAL -- Compare/contrast your community with another classroom via video conferencing (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams) or video messaging (Flip, YouTube, or video emails).
